About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to haul shell and liquid egg products to customers using a diesel tractor-trailer. Safety comes first, no matter the weather.
What you'll haul
- Shell eggs and liquid egg products delivered to customers
What you'll do
- Operate the tractor-trailer to each destination, following commercial driving rules
- Check that the load is properly secured before heading out
- Complete delivery paperwork, trip logs and documentation to meet ICC standards
- Inspect the tractor and trailer, and report on their condition
- Assist with keeping the vehicle maintained
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and customers
- Take on other tasks as needed
Requirements
- At least 3 years of driving experience holding a Class A CDL
- A clean driving record
- Tanker endorsement required
- Experience operating a pallet jack and forklift
- Comfortable reading operating manuals and safety documents, and writing basic business correspondence and numerical records
- Basic computer skills are a plus
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Work environment
You'll work around moving machinery, water and chemicals in a temperature-controlled food production setting, with cooler areas in parts of the facility. Personal protective equipment and food safety practices (like hairnets and clean clothing) are required.
