Local CDL-A Roll Off Driver — $22–$24/hr

Our company in Lake Charles, LA is looking for a local roll off truck driver to handle municipal and construction waste hauling. You'll work under general supervision, running routes within the city and surrounding area, and return home the same day.

Pay

• $22.00 to $24.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Roll off containers ranging from 10 to 40 cubic yards

• Construction and demolition debris, municipal solid waste and scrap metal

• Deliveries go to customer job sites, landfills and transfer stations

What you'll do

• Pick up and drop off containers at customer locations

• Secure loads by tarping containers before transport

• Complete pre-trip inspections and daily logs

• Interact with customers during service stops

• Coordinate with dispatch on load assignments

• Follow DOT rules and company safety procedures

• Help with safety meetings and incident reviews when needed

• Be ready for overtime, weekend or extended shifts during busy periods or emergencies

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience; roll off experience is a plus

• Clean driving record, no suspensions or revocations from moving violations or accidents in the past 2 years

• No DUI convictions in the last 4 years

• Must pass a DOT and employment physical, hold a valid DOT medical card, and pass a background check and drug screen

• Able to lift, push or pull up to 75 pounds unassisted

• Able to climb onto trailers or containers and manually tarp loads

• High school diploma or GED preferred

This is physically demanding outdoor work in all weather, requiring safety gear like eye, foot, hand and head protection plus high-visibility clothing. The company follows a mandatory drug-free workplace policy.
