About this job
Our company is looking for an experienced Class A driver to run container loads between the LA/LB ports and local customer warehouses, with you home every day. You'll need a TWIC card and familiarity with the 12 LA/LB terminals, plus a clean recent driving record.
Pay
- $33.00 to $36.00 per hour
Home time
- Home daily
What you'll haul
- Containers picked up from the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports, delivered to designated customer warehouses, then returned to the LA port
Requirements
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Valid Class A CDL; a Hazmat endorsement is recommended
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 24 months
- No more than 1 DOT-recordable accident in the last 24 months
- Authorized to work in the US
- Valid TWIC card and familiarity with the 12 LA/LB port terminals
- High school diploma or GED
- Fluent English; Chinese is a plus
Responsibilities
- Follow a home-daily route with your assigned truck
- Use the company's logistics system and mobile app
- Keep accurate paperwork, including manifests and proof of delivery
