Local CDL-A Night Shuttle Driver — Home Daily

Our company is hiring a night-shift shuttle driver based out of Medley, FL. You'll slip-seat with a day driver, running between Penske Truck Leasing in Medley and the our company yard in Tampa to pick up loads and bring them back.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 PM to around 6:30 AM

• You must live in the Miami area

What you'll haul

• Metal products and materials for our company, running between Medley and Tampa, FL

Pay

• $87,789 a year

What you'll do

• Drive commercial vehicles rated over 26,001 lbs to move materials and equipment on schedule

• Secure loads properly for transport, tarping when needed

• Position the truck safely for loading and unloading, and load or unload as needed

• Complete FMCSA-required daily vehicle inspections and file DVIRs

• Track your hours and activity on an electronic logging device

• Review bills of lading and manifests, and confirm paperwork and signatures for deliveries

• Report any accidents, violations or vehicle damage right away

Requirements

• Valid CDL matching the vehicle you'll drive

• About a year of relevant commercial driving experience preferred

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Must pass a road test and meet the company's insurability standards

• Must satisfy FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse rules and 49 CFR Part 391 qualification standards

• Clean enough MVR to meet federal and company criteria

• No drug violations in the last 5 years, or proof of a completed SAP program if older

• Comfortable with basic math, measurements and following written instructions

• Able to work well with supervisors, coworkers and customers, and use good judgment on the road
