About this job
Our company is hiring a full-time night shuttle driver in Maspeth, NY to run freight between company terminals using a day cab tractor and 53' trailer. This is a local, home-daily role with overnight hours, Monday through Friday.
Pay
- $36.65 per hour, paid weekly every Friday by direct deposit
- Overtime kicks in after 40 hours worked
Home time
- Home every day, working an overnight schedule Monday through Friday
What you'll haul
- General freight in a 53-foot trailer, shuttled between Pyle terminals
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hazmat endorsement needed from day one
- Tanker endorsement either already held or obtained within your first 90 days
- At least one year of recent experience driving tractor trailers
- A non-excepted interstate DOT medical card, current or obtainable
- Minimum age of 21
- No more than three moving violations or accidents in the past three years (reviewed case by case)
- Strong English communication skills, spoken and written
- Ability to pass requirements for and keep a TSA security clearance
Responsibilities
- Operate a day cab tractor with a 53' trailer on overnight runs between Pyle locations
- Keep the truck and freight secure while following FMCSA safety rules
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle
