About this job
Our company is looking for a Local CDL-A Intermodal Truck Driver in Portland, OR. You'll run freight tied to a local rail ramp and be back in your own bed every night.
Pay
- Average annual earnings around $64,000
- Weekly pay averages $1,240, with top earners making up to $1,750 in a week
- Overtime kicks in after 40 hours worked in a week
Home time
- Home every night
- Standard 5-day workweek, with an optional 6th day if you want extra pay
- Shifts run 10 to 12 hours
What you'll haul
- You'll make several dispatches per shift, covering a 0-300 mile radius around the local rail ramp
- Freight is a combination of live loads and drop-and-hook
- You'll be behind the wheel of newer day cabs with automatic transmissions
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 3 months of recent, active Class A driving experience
- 21 years of age or older
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug test
- Note: this fleet is not currently taking on students or recent driving school graduates
