J.B. Hunt is hiring CDL-A intermodal drivers for local railyard work in Pittston, PA. You get home every day, mostly no-touch freight, and equipment owned and maintained by the company.

Pay

This is an activity-based pay plan, so what you earn depends on the tasks you complete. Over the past six to twelve months, drivers in this role have averaged $84,500 a year. Base pay runs $0.59 to $0.64 per mile, with extra pay for specific activities:

• Detention: $23-$30 per hour

• Drop and hook: $53 per stop

• Live load/unload: $73 per stop

• Driver load/unload: $45 per stop

• Hazmat: $40 per load

• Refrigerated freight: $40 per load

• Crosstown moves: $25 per load

• Driver assist: $25 per load

• Empty moves: $25 per load

• Empty search: $203 per hour

• Mechanical breakdown or tractor repositioning: $23 per hour

• Rail delay: $23 per hour

• Refused delivery: $53 per load

• Truck ordered but not used: $23

• Waiting on a truck, yard checks, overweight rework or safety training: $23 per hour

• Mandatory in-person roundtables and safety meetings: $30 per hour

• New hire training: $200 per day

• Holiday pay: $220 per day

Factors like completed training, paid breaks, endorsements, tenure, equipment type and days worked per week can all affect your actual annual earnings. You may also qualify for safety bonuses tied to performance or profitability.

You're home every day with this position.

What you'll haul

Most loads are no-touch freight. You'll work out of a railyard with express gate access, onsite maintenance and onsite management support, driving equipment that's 100% company owned.

Requirements

• Class A CDL

• At least 3 months of trucking experience
