Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver — Home Daily, $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

This is a local intermodal driving job in Harrisburg, PA, moving containers between two rail yards (not NYC). You'll be home daily and typically run 2 to 5 loads per shift.

Pay

• $0.52 to $0.57 per mile

• Estimated annual earnings of $89,000 to $99,000

• $10,000 sign-on bonus

Home time

• Home daily

• Tractor stays at the yard during your time off

• Schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday, with start times between 4 PM and 11 PM; you must be flexible on start time, though preferred schedules open up with seniority

What you'll haul

• Intermodal containers in and out of two Norfolk Southern rail yards in Harrisburg

• Priority loading and unloading at the railyards

• Slip-seat operation; both manual and automatic trucks are used, so you should be able to drive either unless you have an automatic restriction

Requirements

• CDL-A with at least 3 months of experience

• Hazmat endorsement not required at hire, but must be obtained within 60 days; the company reimburses threat assessment and fingerprinting costs once the endorsement is on your CDL

• Must pass a drug screening
