Local CDL-A Grocery Delivery Driver — Home Daily, $95,000 Avg Pay

Drive local refrigerated routes hauling fresh and frozen groceries to supermarkets and distribution centers across the Northeast. You'll be home every day, with newer automatic day-cab trucks and several ways to add to your paycheck.

Pay

• Average yearly pay of $95,000

• $10,000 sign-on bonus for a limited time

• Mileage pay of $0.48 to $0.56 per mile

• $50 daily rate

• $21 per stop for drop-and-hook

• $42 per stop for New York City deliveries

• $45 per stop when a liftgate is used

• $15 per hour for detention

• $100 layover pay

• $160 per day for holiday work

• Paid training, including safety training

Home time and schedule

• Home every day

• Early starts with a steady, predictable schedule

• You may be scheduled to work some holidays depending on the account

• Routes run through Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Pennsylvania

What you'll haul

• Refrigerated trailers loaded with fresh and frozen grocery products

• Regular runs into the New York City boroughs and Long Island

• About 15 to 20 stops each week, usually just one long load per day with extra work sometimes available

• Occasional backhauls and pickups of returned product

• Electric pallet jacks supplied for unloading

Equipment

• Automatic day-cab trucks, typically under 3 years old

• Trucks stay at the yard; you're responsible for getting to and from the reporting location

• Uniforms supplied

• You may occasionally be asked to cover other local accounts

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience

• Clean driving record and current DOT Medical card

• Not an SAP driver

• Comfortable handling an electric pallet jack to help with unloading

• Good customer service skills

• Willing to deliver into New York City and work required holiday shifts

• Able to work weekends

• Dependable transportation to your reporting site
