Local CDL-A Floater Truck Driver — $35.64/hr, Home Daily

Penske Logistics is hiring a full-time local CDL-A driver to cover vacations across several dedicated accounts in the Champlin, MN area. You'll be home every day and paid a strong hourly rate.

Pay

• $35.64 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours worked

• Driver referral bonuses up to $5,000 per referral

Schedule

• Work Sunday night through Friday night

• Dispatch falls between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM, with consistent start times each week that shift based on which accounts need vacation coverage

• Plan on 40 to 45 hours weekly

• Home daily

What you'll haul

• Fill in as a floater driver across multiple dedicated accounts

• Run liftgate deliveries and handle some touch freight

• Cover roughly 20-25 stops and about 1,200 miles per week

• Drive newer Penske trucks with comfort-focused specs, including 48' and 53' trailers, straight trucks, automatic transmissions and day cabs equipped with inward- and outward-facing cameras

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL, with U.S. domicile and licensing in your state of residence

• Current or obtainable non-excepted interstate DOT medical card

• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years

• No more than two moving violations or accidents on your 3-year driving record

• English language proficiency, per federal DOT requirements

• Must pass a background check (employment, education, criminal history) and drug screening, and complete Penske's application process

• Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally, plus getting in and out of the cab and cargo area safely
