This local flatbed driving role is based in Asheboro, NC with our company, LLC. You'll handle deliveries to project sites, requiring careful load securement and close attention to equipment condition.
What you'll haul
- Flatbed loads to project sites, requiring proper load securement checks
Responsibilities
- Maneuver and spot trailers in tight areas, docks, and job sites
- Keep a flexible schedule to meet pickup and delivery windows
- Inspect trucks and trailers before and after each trip
- Keep equipment roadworthy through regular service, maintenance, and inspections
- Get Transportation Manager approval before any service or maintenance work
- Track permits, registrations, and inspections, flagging anything nearing expiration
- Decline to haul loads if paperwork is incorrect or expired
- Keep accurate logs as required by the Department of Transportation and the company
- Keep your license and medical certification current
- Safeguard the company fuel card and report any issues immediately
Requirements
- CDL Class A license
- Medical Examiner's Certificate
- At least 2 years of driving experience
- Must pass a road test given by a current EAS driver
- Subject to Motor Vehicle Report review per company driver policy
- High school diploma or GED
