About this job
Ryder is looking for a Class A CDL truck driver to run a local flatbed route out of Tyrone, GA, with weekends off and a sign-on bonus.
Pay
- Weekly paychecks, averaging $1425 per week on this account
- $30 per hour, plus overtime after 40 hours
- Typically 45+ hours per week
- Paid training
- $1500 sign-on bonus
Schedule and home time
- Monday through Friday, no weekends
- Dispatch window from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Local route with home daily
What you'll haul
- Solo driving within GA
- Day cab tractors pulling 48ft to 53ft flatbed trailers
- Freight involves strapping and securing loads
Requirements
- At least 22 years old
- Must pass Ryder's drug test, background check, motor vehicle check, and DOT physical
- Must pass a Ryder road test
- Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements
- Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 12 months in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years, or 5 years in the past 10 years
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Additional requirements may apply depending on location or account
What you'll do
- Drive safely while following DOT and safety rules, with ongoing training
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Help load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Spot and address safety hazards
- Handle other assigned tasks
