Local CDL-A Driver/Manager — Hazmat, $29.00/hr, Mon–Fri Days

Hot Line Freight System Inc in Madison, WI needs a dependable Class A CDL driver to fill a combined driving and facility management role. You'll run local pickup and delivery routes Monday through Friday during the day, with no long-haul travel, while also helping lead the facility team.

Pay

• Starts at $29.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, day shift

• Local routes only, no over-the-road driving

What you'll haul

• Freight requiring hazardous materials handling, moved in line with DOT and company safety rules

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class A truck safely on local routes

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

• Load and unload freight, including forklift work when needed

• Keep accurate logs and delivery paperwork

• Interact professionally with customers at stops

• Follow DOT, FMCSA and company safety standards

• Guide and support facility staff, including coaching and counseling

• Help manage staffing levels at the facility

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Hazmat endorsement

• At least 3 years of Class A driving experience

• Clean driving record with a solid safety background

• Comfortable working independently

• Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word

Preferred

• Forklift experience

• Background in local pickup and delivery

• Knowledge of DOT compliance rules

• Experience with transportation management software (TMS)
