Local CDL-A Driver — Home Daily, $24.88–$33.79/hr + $5,000 Sign-On

Valley Bakers Supply and Valley Cold Transit & Storage need Class A CDL drivers for local routes delivering to bakeries, breweries, wineries and food manufacturers. You'll be home every day, with a leadership team that knows drivers by name.

Pay

• $24.88 to $33.79 per hour, depending on the route

• Most drivers bring in $70,000 to $90,000 a year

• $5,000 sign-on bonus

• Annual raises plus bonuses twice a year, up to 5.5% of your yearly pay (potentially an extra $1,500 to $3,000 each time)

Home time

• You return home every day; overnight runs aren't required

• Drivers who want extra pay can pick up overnight trips

Schedule and routes

• Choose from a variety of route types

• Work 4 to 5 days a week

• Shifts begin sometime between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM

• Most routes wrap up in 10 to 12 hours, depending on stop count

What you'll haul

• Bakery supplies delivered to local customers

• You'll load and unload goods weighing up to 50 lbs

Equipment

• 2024 tractors with automatic transmissions

Requirements

• Class A CDL required

• Clean driving history

• Must pass a DOT physical

• Prior driving experience is a plus but not mandatory

CDL training

• Don't have your CDL yet? Valley Cooperative covers the full cost of schooling

• You get 3 chances to pass the road test after class

• Trainees are paid $20.82 an hour during school
