Local CDL-A Driver — Home Every Night, $0.73–$0.78 CPM

Our company is looking for CDL-A drivers to run local routes around Mechanicsburg, PA - a great fit whether you're brand new out of truck school or have years on the road. You'll be back home every single night with a predictable schedule set in advance.

Pay

• Weekly earnings typically run $1,600 to $1,750, which works out to roughly $83,200 to $91,000 a year

• Per-mile rate of $0.73 to $0.78 depending on your experience level

• Your rate goes up by a penny per mile every 12 months

• $2,000 bonus once you hit 30 days on the job

• Paid out via direct deposit each Friday

Home time

You won't be away overnight - every route brings you home the same night, no exceptions.

What you'll haul

• No-touch freight handled through drop and hook only - you won't be loading or unloading

• Routes cover the South Central Pennsylvania area, with regular stops in Harrisburg, Carlisle, York, and Camp Hill

• Dispatch runs Monday through Saturday, 5-6 days a week, averaging 2,190 to 2,245 miles weekly

Requirements

• Current Class A CDL, in good standing

• At least 21 years old

• No experience necessary - new CDL holders are welcome

• Past minor violations are looked at individually rather than used as an automatic disqualifier

• Clean DOT physical and drug test required

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US

What the job involves

You'll drive your assigned day cab on set local routes, handling drop and hook pickups and deliveries without touching the freight. Each shift includes pre- and post-trip inspections, accurate ELD logging, staying within hours-of-service limits, following DOT and company safety rules, and checking in with dispatch regularly.
