Drive local intermodal routes around Portland, OR with our company and get home every day. Freight is 100% no-touch, and you'll move containers between rail yards, ports, distribution centers, and customer locations in the metro area.
Pay
- Average weekly pay runs $1,450 – $1,550, with potential to earn up to $79,500/year
- Day shift: $12.04/hr plus $0.32 CPM
- Night shift: $14.45/hr plus $0.32 CPM
- Weekend shift: $18.07/hr plus $0.32 CPM
Home time
You're home daily - this is a local position based in the Portland metro area.
What you'll haul
- Intermodal containers moving between rail yards, ports, distribution centers, and customer sites
- All freight is no-touch
- Some optional short regional runs may be available if you want extra miles
What the job involves
Standard pre-trip and post-trip inspections, plus coupling/uncoupling and chassis checks are part of the daily routine.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- A clean driving record and the ability to pass a DOT screening
