About this job
Our company is looking for a solo Class A CDL driver to run a local route between Arlington and Midland, TX, hauling no-touch furniture freight. You'll be home every day and paid weekly.
Pay
- Weekly pay of $1,400 or more
- Mileage rate of $0.588 per mile, averaging about 2,200 miles per week
- Stop pay of $20.00 per stop, with 3-4 stops weekly
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, with occasional Sunday runs
- Start time around 12:00 PM
- Home daily
What you'll haul
- Solo route from Arlington to Midland
- Day cab tractor paired with 28' and 53' dry van trailers
- No-touch furniture freight
- Doubles endorsement required
Equipment
Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside support and fueling access at more than 800 maintenance locations nationwide.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A license with required endorsements
- Must pass a our company drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record review, and DOT physical
- Must pass a our company road test
- Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules, and procedures
- Some assignments may require added background checks, employment or education verification, or customer-specific badging
Responsibilities
- Follow applicable federal, state, and company safety rules and standards
- Spot and reduce safety hazards on the job
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Help load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Handle other duties as assigned
