About this job
Our company is hiring a Local CDL Class A driver to run local delivery routes out of Wilmer, TX, hauling 53ft dry van freight. You'll handle daily pickups and deliveries while keeping everything compliant with DOT and FMCSA rules.

What you'll haul
- Dry van freight, 53ft trailers, on local routes
Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer safely on local routes
- Load and unload freight, checking it against shipping paperwork
- Use GPS to plan efficient routes and meet schedules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections
- Keep accurate logs of hours, deliveries, and inspections
- Stay in contact with dispatch on delivery progress
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Experience driving commercial trucks, including local delivery routes
- Comfortable with automatic transmission trucks
- Familiar with FMCSA, DOT, and materials handling regulations
- Strong GPS navigation skills
- Physically able to handle truck and trailer work
