Local CDL-A Driver — $25–$30/hr

Border Tire, a Michelin Commercial Service Network dealer, needs a full-time CDL-A driver to run a tractor-trailer around the local area hauling tire-related materials. The posting notes the company name is listed as our company but the job itself is with Border Tire in Mentone, CA.

Pay

• $25.00 to $30.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time, with some Saturday availability expected

What you'll haul

• Materials transported back and forth to assigned local destinations

Responsibilities

• Keep accurate electronic logs in line with DOT hours-of-service rules

• Secure cargo so it doesn't shift during transport

• Load and unload the truck when required

• Perform pre-trip inspections and arrange any needed truck repairs

• Confirm quantities and condition of goods picked up or dropped off

• Flag any shortages, damage, overages or broken seals right away

• Hook and unhook trailers correctly

• Follow Border Tire's and DOT's safety rules at all times

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and must meet insurability standards

• At least 12 months of driving experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Comfortable operating both manual and automatic transmissions

• At least 21 years old

• Meets DOT's English comprehension requirement

• Must pass a background check and drug screening

• Clean record with DOT driver qualification standards
