About this job
Our company is looking for a reliable local CDL-A driver to handle deliveries of food and supplies to customers on a set route. You'll drive a tractor-trailer and personally unload goods like meat, produce, frozen items, groceries and dry goods at each stop, while building strong relationships with the customers you serve.
Home time
- Most drivers run daily routes and return home each night.
What you'll haul
- Meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods and other supplies for customer deliveries.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid Class A CDL with a driving record that meets company insurance standards.
- Must pass pre-employment testing.
- Sufficient English skills to communicate with the public, read traffic signs, and complete reports.
- Able to repeatedly lift, push or move items averaging 40-60 lbs, up to 100 lbs at times.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Preferred: 1 year of delivery experience, 6 months using a hand cart or hand truck, 6 months in food and beverage work, and 2 years of steady work history.
