About this job
CCFS is hiring a Class A route delivery driver in New Castle, CO. You'll run local routes Monday through Friday, handling freight pickups and drop-offs between the terminal and customer locations, and you'll be home every day.
Pay and schedule
- $36/hour
- Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
- Dedicated routes with consistent miles and hours
What you'll do
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your rig
- Pick up and deliver freight between customer sites and the terminal as dispatch directs
- Load, unload, sort and palletize freight by hand or with equipment
- Keep shipping paperwork in order and ready for DOT checks, with proper documents traveling with each shipment
Requirements
- Class A CDL, valid
- At least 21 years old
- One year of commercial driving experience
- Clean record: no DUI or DWI in the last 3 years, and no more than 3 traffic violations in that time
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required, or willingness to get them (renewal costs reimbursed)
- Must pass a pre-employment skills test
- Able to get in and out of the cab repeatedly, move freight/pallets up to 2,500 pounds using a dolly or cart (up to 130 pounds of force with mechanical help), carry loads up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet, and handle coupling tasks like fifth wheel release, pintle hooks, safety chains, landing gear, cargo doors, and basic fluid checks
