About this job
This role is built for brand-new Class A CDL holders who haven't driven a tractor-trailer professionally yet. You'll run regional lanes out of Grand Junction, CO, staying within a few hundred miles of home, and the company puts you through paid training to get you up to speed.
Pay
- $1,300 to $1,800 per week
Home time
- Home weekly, with routes generally kept within a few hundred miles of your home base
What you'll haul
- Scheduled regional freight runs; specific trailer type not detailed
What you'll do
- Pick up and deliver freight safely on set regional routes
- Run pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections every shift
- Keep your logs, shipping papers, and delivery records current
- Stay in touch with dispatch on your location, delays, and progress
- Follow federal safety rules, posted speed limits, and company policy
- Treat customers and site staff professionally at every stop
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL
- A driving record that meets the company's safety standards
- Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening
- Willingness to complete the paid training program for new drivers
- No previous tractor-trailer experience necessary
