Local CDL-A/B Delivery Driver — $24.63/hr

Our company in The Colony, TX needs a local delivery driver to run pre-set routes, Monday through Friday. You'll start early and be done by mid-afternoon.

Pay

• $24.63 per hour

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• Start time between 5:45 and 6:30am

• Finish between 2:15 and 3:00pm

What you'll do

• Run an assigned delivery route and drop merchandise at each stop, typically 15 to 30 stops a day

• Unload and verify orders, noting any discrepancies

• Pick up returned items under return authorization

• Finish required paperwork and reports at the end of the shift

• Flag any system or documentation issues to your manager

• Follow DOT and OSHA safety and housekeeping rules

• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 1 year of safe commercial driving experience, or comparable experience driving a straight truck

• Valid Class B CDL required; Class A preferred

• Current DOT Medical Certification and ongoing compliance with DOT rules

• Able to read and understand English, including basic math (cash-handling experience a plus)

• Comfortable driving in varied traffic and weather

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Good communication and customer service skills

Physical demands

• Able to sit and drive for long stretches

• Able to bend, stoop, twist, climb and stand throughout the shift

• Able to lift 60-100 lbs while loading and unloading at each stop (frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, occasional up to 80 lbs)

• Able to climb on and off the truck box and work in tight spaces
