About this job
Our company, an independent delivery service partner, is hiring full-time delivery drivers for a Rochester, NY station. You will drive a 26-foot box truck with a helper on board, running 30-50 stops a day.
Pay
- From $23.50 an hour, with raises available.
- Paid training, and the company pays for DOT certification and its training.
Schedule
- Shifts run 8-10 hours, with an approximate 7am start that may change.
- Shifts are available throughout the week; either Saturday or Sunday is mandatory.
- Drivers with flexible schedules are also wanted.
What you'll do
- Drive a box truck safely, following DOT rules and safe lifting practices.
- Follow efficient routes so deliveries arrive on time.
- Load, unload and secure packages, and organize them for each stop.
- Deal with customers politely and handle their questions.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license or equivalent; commercial driving experience is preferred but not required.
- Age 21 or older and eligible to work in the U.S.
- Able to lift packages up to 200 lbs with the helper's assistance.
- Willing to take a pre-employment drug test, DMV check and background check.
