About this job
Our company is hiring licensed tractor-trailer drivers for a local, night-shift position based out of their Belleville yard. This is a direct employee role (not contract work), offering steady full-time hours and freight you won't have to touch.
Schedule and home time
- Monday to Friday, 5 pm to 5 am
- You'll be home every day
- Night driving experience is required
What you'll haul
- A combination of local pickups and deliveries, shunting, corridor runs and yard checks
- Main routes cover the Belleville area, with loads to Prescott and the Mississauga area
- No border crossings, and no handbombing
- Freight includes meat, dairy, tobacco and alcohol, so you need to be willing to haul these
- You'll run both dry van and reefer trailers, in slip-seated day cabs
- Drivers comfortable with manual and automatic transmissions are preferred
- Trucks are shared and smoke-free
Pay
- Pay combines hourly, activity-based and mileage components, plus bonus programs
- Mileage rate ranges from $0.445 to $0.475, based on verifiable experience
- Paid bi-weekly by direct deposit
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with at least 1 year of current, verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Proven experience driving safely at night
- You must already live in the Belleville area, since the yard (Cooney's) is based there
