Our company Inc. in Kitchener, ON is hiring a local afternoon truck driver for pickups and deliveries around the Kitchener-Waterloo, GTA and Southern Ontario region. This is an AZ/DZ straight truck role paying $26.00-$30.00 per hour, with hours capped at 60.0 per week.
Pay
- $26.00-$30.00 per hour
- Scheduled for no more than 60.0 hours weekly
What you'll do
- Handle local freight pickups and drop-offs on time
- Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and flag any issues
- Secure cargo properly and help load or unload when needed
- Keep accurate paperwork and electronic log records
- Stay in touch with dispatch about delays or problems on the road
- Follow safety rules and customer site requirements
- Keep your truck tidy
Requirements
- Ontario licence suited to the assigned straight truck, plus AZ air brake endorsement
- At least 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean CVOR record and acceptable driver's abstract
- Knowledge of the Kitchener-Waterloo, GTA and Southern Ontario area
- Physically able to handle freight
- Good communication, reliability and customer service skills
- Isaac ELD familiarity is a plus
