About this job
Our company, a family-owned 3PL based in Brantford, ON, needs a part-time AZ driver to cover weekend afternoon shifts. The work is no-touch, mostly food freight on reefer trailers, delivered to local customers around Brantford.
Pay
- Starting at $28.00 per hour
Schedule
- Part time, single shift: Saturdays and Sundays, 3pm to 11pm
- Local runs out of Brantford, ON
What you'll haul
- No-touch loads, mostly food items
- Reefer trailers
Requirements
- Valid AZ licence with a clean abstract
- At least 3 years behind the wheel driving AZ commercially
- Comfortable running reefer equipment
- No criminal record
- Familiarity with ELDs helpful but not mandatory
- Good communication, spoken and written
What the job involves
- Logging hours and trip paperwork through the ELD system
- Keeping the tractor and trailer tidy
- Running through daily pre-trip safety checks and following health and safety rules
- Staying in touch with dispatch and with shippers and receivers
- Showing up on time for scheduled pickups and drops
