About this job
Our company is looking for a Local AZ Delivery Driver to run routes around Cambridge, ON. You'll be home every day, working a fixed 5-6 day schedule with morning and afternoon shifts, and pay is based on miles and stops.
Pay
- Starting from $78,000.00 per year
- Pay structure based on miles driven and stops made
- Work is guaranteed throughout the year
Schedule
- Fixed schedule, 5-6 days per week
- Morning and afternoon shift options
- Home every day
What you'll do
- Drive commercial trucks and heavy equipment on local routes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and similar equipment
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Keep accurate delivery receipts and shipping manifests
- Carry out routine checks to keep trucks and equipment running well
- Help with basic troubleshooting of minor mechanical problems
- Follow safety rules and traffic laws on every delivery
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with a clean driving record
- At least 1 year of AZ driving experience
- Comfortable operating a forklift and handling freight
- Experience with heavy equipment such as cranes or loaders is a plus
- Basic understanding of vehicle repair and troubleshooting
- Solid grasp of safety practices for driving and equipment use
- Good communication skills for coordinating and reporting on deliveries
- Able to work independently, stay organized, and adjust in a busy setting
