About this job
Our company is looking for a 5 Ton Truck Driver to run local freight routes through the GTA. You'll be home every night, handling deliveries and keeping your truck and paperwork in good shape.
Pay
- $20.40 per hour
- Overtime kicks in after 8 hours in a day
- Weekly paychecks
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm
- Home every day
What you'll do
- Drive a 5-ton truck on local delivery runs
- Load and unload freight, securing it properly so nothing gets damaged
- Check your vehicle before and after each trip, including fluids, tires, and safety gear
- Take care of small repairs or troubleshooting on the truck yourself when needed
- Log your deliveries and stay in touch with dispatch and customers along the way
Requirements
- A valid commercial license with a solid driving history
- Prior experience behind the wheel of a 5-ton or comparably sized truck
- A driver's abstract issued within the past 30 days showing a clean record
- Willingness to complete a road test at the Vaughan location
- Class D Licence is a plus
