About this job
Deliver home heating oil to homes and businesses in and around East Freetown, MA, keeping customers warm through the cold months. You'll drive a commercial truck on set routes, handle the fuel transfer, and work directly with customers at each stop.
Pay
- $26.44 - $31.84 per hour
- Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
What you'll do
- Operate a commercial truck to bring heating oil to residential and commercial stops
- Run your assigned route while following traffic laws, DOT rules, and safety standards
- Check your vehicle before each trip and flag any maintenance concerns right away
- Talk with customers during stops, answering questions and handling any concerns
- Log deliveries, routes and inventory accurately using a mobile device or digital system
Requirements
- Prior experience as a delivery driver with solid route driving and customer service skills
- Background operating commercial trucks
- Strict adherence to traffic laws and safety procedures while driving
- Good organizational skills for keeping delivery schedules on track with mobile or route-management tools
- Clear, friendly communication with customers and coworkers
- Comfortable with manual handling and warehouse-type tasks
