G Class Part-Time Delivery Driver — $20.00-$24.00/hr

Our company in Smiths Falls, ON is looking for a part-time G Class delivery driver to move food products from the distribution centre to customer locations. Hours vary week to week based on business needs, so flexibility is key.

Pay

• $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule

• Part-time, with no set or guaranteed hours

• Shifts can fall on weekdays or weekends, including early mornings, and change based on how busy the business is

• You'll need to be available for flexible part-time hours

What you'll haul

• Food products delivered from the distribution centre to customer sites, handled safely and on time

What the job involves

• Letting dispatch know right away about delays or truck problems

• Unloading freight by hand, cart, or pallet jack into the customer's storage space while keeping it at the right temperature, sometimes down stairs, ramps, or docks in any weather

• Checking orders before and after drop-off for accuracy and customer satisfaction

• Using a tablet-based e-log along with carts, hand jacks, and power jacks

• Planning the most efficient route to stay on schedule and following your assigned manifest

• Doing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Checking that loads stay secure and intact during transport

• Keeping delivery records that meet Ministry standards

• Keeping the truck clean and following the company's hygiene rules

• Protecting company property and product

• Following highway traffic laws and company policy

• Taking on other tasks as needed

Physical demands

• Physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, and climbing

• Long stretches of driving

• Working both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather and temperatures

Requirements

• Valid G Class driver's licence (a DZ licence is a plus)

• Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check

• High school diploma or equivalent experience

• Solid English reading and writing skills; French is a bonus

• Comfortable working independently with strong organization, time management, and people skills

• Able to stay calm, safe, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment with changing demands
