G Class Delivery Driver — Full-Time Floral Delivery

Our company, one of Canada's largest floral distributors, is looking for a full-time Delivery Driver to bring fresh flowers to customers from their Stoney Creek, Ontario location. This is a permanent, salaried role driving one of the company's temperature-controlled trucks.

What you'll do

• Drive a delivery truck safely, following MTO rules and completing ELD logs

• Load, unload, inspect and prepare the vehicle before each run

• Deliver floral products to a variety of addresses on a set route and schedule

• Collect payments and fill out delivery paperwork

• Follow company procedures and safety standards

Requirements

• Valid G Class driver's license with a clean abstract (bring it to your interview for the insurance company)

• At least one full year of continuous commercial driving experience as a G Class driver (required by insurance)

• Comfortable with ELD logging and MTO regulations

• Prior delivery driving experience; customer service background is a plus

• Fluent in spoken, read and written English

• Flexible availability, since hours shift with the number of stops, route and distance, and get longer during floral holidays

• Reliable, respectful and well organized with your time

Physical demands

This is an active, physically demanding job. You'll be climbing in and out of the truck and up stairs, lifting boxes up to 60 lbs, raising the truck's rear roll-up door, operating a pallet truck, and moving full and empty floral carts on and off the vehicle. You'll work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Pay and benefits

You're paid hourly, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break each shift. After a three-month probation period, full-time employees become eligible for benefits. Training is provided.
