Fixed Route Transit Driver — $21.91/hr

Our company is hiring fixed route transit drivers to serve the Hesperia and Barstow areas, paying $21.91 an hour with yearly raises under the union agreement. No CDL is required to apply, since the company will help you obtain a CDL permit with a passenger endorsement during your first week of training.

Pay

• $21.91 per hour to start, with annual increases set by the Collective Bargaining Agreement

What you'll do

• Complete pre-trip vehicle inspections and file inspection reports

• Drive safely and courteously, following posted speed limits and traffic laws

• Help riders, including those with disabilities, board and handle luggage or bulky items safely

• Track ride times, passenger counts and any incidents

• Report any change in your driving record right away

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Able to obtain a CDL permit with passenger endorsement within your first week of training, then pass a road test for full licensure

• 3 years of verifiable driving experience required (5 years preferred)

• Able to pass a federal background check with fingerprinting, a drug test and a DOT physical

• Comfortable working with riders who have disabilities

• Strong communication and decision-making skills

• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
