Entry-Level CDL-A Delivery Driver — $1,350 Weekly Minimum

Our company is hiring entry-level CDL-A drivers in Gainesville, FL to train as food-distribution delivery drivers. You learn on the job by riding with a trainer, then deliver food products to customers on assigned routes.

Pay

• Guaranteed minimum of $1,350 per week.

• The company puts average yearly earnings at $70,000 to $80,000.

• $6,000 welcome bonus (terms apply).

Schedule

• Work week runs Sunday through Saturday, with at least 4 days worked; the days change from week to week.

• Trips start between 7 pm and 3 am.

• Team driving is part of the role.

What you'll do

• Complete the company's driver trainee program and ride along with a trainer.

• Run the required pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and report any problems.

• Check that freight is loaded and secured, count items and verify invoices.

• Drive local, OTR, shuttle or overnight routes in a tractor-trailer or straight truck.

• Unload at customer locations, check for damage, collect signatures and take payment (cash or check) where needed, and load returns.

• Keep your hours-of-service log and paperwork accurate.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A and age 21 or older.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Up to 6 months of commercial driving experience.

• No serious issues on your driving record over the past 3 years.

• Pass a road test, a drug test and a background check after the offer.

• Current DOT medical card, or ability to get one.

• Able to lift and move cases, typically 10-35 lbs and up to about 60-90 lbs at some locations.
