Our company in Sault Ste. Marie, ON needs a Vac Truck Operator to run vacuum truck operations and help build out this part of the business. The role starts part-time and will move to full-time, with pay based on your experience and leadership ability.
Pay
- $28.00-$30.00 per hour
- Wage set according to your experience and leadership skills
- Starts part-time, transitioning to full-time
What you'll do
- Run and care for vacuum trucks used to clear sewers, storm drains and other waste lines
- Drive the truck safely to and from job sites
- Hook up hoses and pipes to get cleaning jobs started
- Watch vacuum pressure and adjust it so equipment isn't damaged
- Handle basic upkeep on the truck such as cleaning, lubricating and small repairs
- Keep records of maintenance and cleaning work completed
- Stay in touch with customers and coworkers to make sure each job gets done right
Requirements
- Valid DZ licence with a clean driving history
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience running vacuum trucks
- Able to lift heavy items and handle physical work
- Good communication skills
- Should be ready to take on a leadership role as the position grows
