Our company in Owen Sound, ON is looking for a night-shift truck driver to handle deliveries on a set overnight schedule. This role involves hands-on cargo handling, route planning, and vehicle safety checks.
Schedule
- Sunday night through Saturday morning, working 6:30pm to 5am
What you'll do
- Drive a commercial vehicle to deliver goods and materials to assigned locations
- Load and unload cargo and make sure it's properly secured
- Plan your routes and keep to delivery timelines
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and compliance
- Keep accurate records covering deliveries, mileage, fuel use and related details
- Stay in contact with dispatchers, customers and fellow drivers to coordinate deliveries and sort out any problems
Pay
- $20.00-$21.00 per hour
Requirements
- Valid DZ licence (note: a Class 1 licence is also listed as required)
- Clean driving record, no major violations or accidents
- At least 3 years of truck driving experience
- Good communication skills for working with dispatchers, customers and teammates
- Comfortable working independently and making quick, sound decisions
