DZ Tow Truck Operator — Full-Time, On-Call Rotations

Our company in Greater Sudbury is hiring full-time DZ licensed drivers for roadside assistance, towing and recovery of light and medium vehicles. The company runs around the clock, every day of the year, and will train you even if you're new to the trucking industry.

What you'll do

• Respond to roadside calls and tow or recover light and medium vehicles

• Load, secure and transport parts and equipment, both locally and on longer trips

• Work shifts that include nights, weekends and on-call rotations

• Write up invoices, work out taxes owed and process customer payments

• Occasionally stay overnight in hotels for out-of-town jobs

Pay

$40,527.00-$90,000.00 per year.

Requirements

• Valid DZ driver's license

• Driving abstract no older than 30 days, with a clean record

• No criminal record

• Your own way to get to and from work

• Comfortable with physical work outdoors in any weather, including lifting, shoveling, bending and standing

• Able to read maps or use GPS to find your way around unfamiliar areas

• Good communication skills for dealing with customers and dispatch

• Able to work calmly and safely alone, including under pressure

• Follows all local, provincial and company rules and procedures

• Five years of towing experience preferred, not required; full training provided
