DZ Tilt & Load Driver — $29.00–$35.00/hr, Timmins

Our company in Timmins, ON needs a DZ driver for a flat deck truck fitted with a tilt mechanism. You'll move heavy freight between job sites, handling loading, securing and unloading along the way.

What you'll do

• Drive a tilt flat deck truck to deliver freight to job sites

• Load and unload cargo with forklifts and other equipment, including stacking, placement and tie-down

• Check your vehicle and equipment regularly, handling minor repairs yourself when needed

• Check delivery paperwork for accuracy and make sure it meets safety requirements

• Keep loads secured on the deck so nothing shifts or gets damaged in transit

• Log your deliveries, maintenance work and safety checks

• Stay in touch with dispatch and clients to keep schedules on track and sort out any problems

Requirements

• Valid DZ license with solid commercial driving and freight hauling experience

• Basic automotive repair know-how to fix small issues on the road or in the yard

• Comfortable and safe operating a flat deck's tilt mechanism

• Solid grasp of safety rules around heavy equipment and freight handling

• Physically able to load, unload and secure cargo on a regular basis

• Strong communication skills for working with your team and clients
