About this job
Miller Waste Systems is hiring a Swing DZ Driver for their Markham, Ontario location. This is a permanent full-time role operating waste collection vehicles for commercial and industrial customers, starting immediately.
Pay
- $35.63 per hour
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, starting at 4:00am
- Start and end times can vary since this role covers vacations, absences, and extra help on routes
- Some statutory holidays and weekends may be required
What you'll do
- Safely operate Roll-Off, Commercial, and Residential Rear Load trucks
- Service customers according to their contracts and schedules
- Push and pull containers of different sizes and weights in and out of enclosures
- Occasionally help with residential collection driving
- Follow Miller Waste's safety protocols and Occupational Health & Safety Act requirements
Requirements
- Valid DZ driver's licence
- Clean driver's abstract with no preventable accidents in the past year
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good knowledge of the Markham area
