DZ Snowplow Driver — Seasonal, $29.22/hr

Our company needs DZ (or equivalent) licensed drivers to run tandem and triaxle plow trucks, plus combo plow/spreader units, for winter highway maintenance in the Walden, ON area. This is a seasonal role at $29.22 per hour.

What you'll do

• Run spreader, wing plow, or combo units on highways during winter conditions

• Complete pre-trip checks and keep accurate logs of fuel use and winter operations

• Handle related heavy equipment like loaders, backhoes, and skid steers

• Work with hand tools such as steamers and chainsaws when needed

• Do basic upkeep and small repairs on your equipment

• Stay in contact with your supervisor and crew to keep things running smoothly

• Report incidents, accidents, or traffic issues right away

Requirements

• Valid DZ license (or equivalent) with a clean CVOR

• OTM Book 7 training is a plus, not mandatory

• Prior winter road maintenance or plowing experience is a plus

• Comfortable self-loading the truck (they'll train you on this)

• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

• Clear communicator, both spoken and written

• Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, and climb

Schedule and conditions

• Outdoor work in all kinds of weather

• May need to travel between job sites

• Shifts vary and can include nights and weekends

• Regular on-call availability required
