DZ Snowplow Driver — Seasonal, $29.22/hr

Our company needs DZ-licensed (or equivalent) drivers to run tandem or triaxle plows and combo plow/spreader units around Mattawa, ON this winter.

Pay

• $29.22 per hour

• Overtime pay available

Job type

• Seasonal position, with year-round opportunities also possible

• Shift work, including nights and weekends, with flexible hours

• Regular on-call availability required

What you'll do

• Run a spreader, wing plow, or combo unit for winter road maintenance

• Handle pre-trip checks and keep accurate logs of fuel use and winter operations

• Operate and service heavy equipment like loaders, backhoes, and skid steers

• Work with hand tools such as steamers, chainsaws, and gas-powered equipment

• Take care of basic maintenance and small repairs on your equipment

• Stay on top of safety rules, regulations, and contract standards

• Keep supervisors and teammates updated, and report any incidents, crashes, or violations right away

Requirements

• Valid DZ license (or equivalent) with a clean CVOR

• OTM Book 7 Training is a plus

• Prior experience with highway maintenance or plowing is a plus

• Strong focus on safety for yourself and others

• Able to self-load the truck (you'll be trained)

• Dependable, hard-working, and able to work independently

• Clear communicator, both spoken and written

• Able to follow directions

• Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, carry, bend, reach, and climb
