DZ Snowplow Driver — Seasonal, $29.22/hr

Our company needs DZ (or equivalent) licensed drivers to run tandem or triaxle plows, plus combo plow/spreader units, for the upcoming winter season in Coldwater, ON. You'll keep highways safe and clear while also pitching in on other equipment and light maintenance work.

Pay

• $29.22 per hour

• Overtime is paid when eligible

Schedule

• This is a seasonal role tied to winter operations

• Hours vary and include shift work, nights and weekends

• You need to be regularly available for on-call shifts

• Work happens outdoors in all kinds of weather, at different sites as needed

What you'll do

• Run a spreader, wing plow or combo unit on winter highway routes

• Load the truck yourself once trained

• Complete pre-trip checks and keep records of fuel use and winter operations

• Handle other equipment too, like loaders, backhoes and skid steers

• Use hand tools such as chainsaws, steamers and gas-powered equipment when needed

• Take care of basic equipment upkeep and small repairs

• Stay in close contact with your supervisor and crew, and report any incidents or violations right away

• Follow all safety rules and contract requirements on the job

Requirements

• Valid DZ license (or equivalent) with a clean CVOR

• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, plus standing, bending, reaching and climbing as needed

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Clear communicator, both spoken and written

• Strong safety mindset and reliable work ethic

• OTM Book 7 training or prior plowing/highway maintenance experience is a plus, not mandatory
