DZ Snowplow Driver — $29.22/hr, Seasonal

Our company needs DZ-licensed (or equivalent) drivers to run tandem and triaxle plows, plus combo plow/spreader trucks, for winter highway maintenance near Rock Lake, ON. This is a seasonal role paying $29.22 per hour.

What you'll do

• Run a spreader, wing plow, or combo unit on highways during winter conditions

• Complete pre-trip checks and keep records of fuel use and winter operations

• Load the truck yourself once trained

• Handle related heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, and skid steers, plus smaller tools like chainsaws and steamers

• Take care of basic upkeep and small repairs on your equipment

• Stay in contact with your supervisor and crew, and report any incidents or violations right away

Work environment

• Outdoor work in all kinds of winter weather

• Travel between job sites as needed

• Rotating shifts, including nights and weekends

• Regular on-call availability required

Requirements

• Valid DZ license (or equivalent) with a clean CVOR

• Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight

• Strong, dependable work ethic and good communication skills, written and verbal

• Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, carry, bend, reach, and climb

• OTM Book 7 training and prior plowing or highway maintenance experience are a plus, not mandatory
