About this job
A client in Woodbridge, ON needs a Shipper / Mid-Truck Driver who can handle both warehouse prep work and local deliveries. You'll build and stage orders, then get behind the wheel of a mid-sized truck to get them where they're going.
What you'll do
- Pack and stage outgoing orders
- Load and unload the truck using the right equipment
- Run scheduled delivery and pickup routes
- Check the vehicle before and after each trip and flag any repairs needed
- Match shipments against invoices, packing slips and delivery paperwork
- Keep delivery logs and shipping records up to date
- Secure cargo properly for transport
- Stay in touch with dispatch, warehouse staff and customers about deliveries
- Keep the truck clean and road-ready
- Pitch in with general warehouse tasks when needed
Requirements
- Valid Class G or DZ licence, depending on the vehicle
- Clean driving record
- Shipping, receiving, warehouse or delivery driving experience is a plus
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and manage physical work
- Forklift or pallet jack experience is a bonus
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Comfortable working solo or alongside a team, with solid communication skills
Pay
