DZ Salt Truck Driver/Monitor — $25–$30/hr + Guaranteed Minimum

Drive a salt truck and monitor winter road conditions in Ottawa, ON for CSL Group's snow removal team. You'll work on-call whenever snow is in the forecast, with guaranteed minimum pay even on quiet weeks.

Pay

• $25.00/hr to $30.00/hr, based on experience and reliability

• If there's no snow, you're still guaranteed $650 paid bi-weekly or guaranteed hours, as long as you stay available and ready to work

• Compensation plan depends on EI eligibility

Schedule

• You work when snow is forecasted, which means on-call availability including overnight and early morning hours

• Expect long shifts during busy snow events

• Season starts November 1st, 2026

• This role could lead to full-time work; hiring continues until the position is filled

What the work involves

• Outdoor work in cold conditions, sometimes for extended hours

• Teamwork with a dedicated crew supporting winter road safety

• Lifting 50 lbs or more as needed

• Working both independently and alongside teammates

Requirements

• Valid D license with a clean driving abstract

• At least one year behind the wheel of small to medium trucks

• Your own reliable way to get to the job site, since public transit doesn't reach it

• A mobile phone for on-call scheduling

• Physically capable of the job's demands, with a safe, efficient, self-motivated work style
