About this job
Our company is hiring a DZ Residential Driver/Loader in Toronto, ON to operate a rear pack collection truck on residential routes. You'll handle curbside waste and recycling pickup while following safety and municipal regulations.
What you'll haul
- Residential waste and recycling via rear pack truck
Requirements
- Valid DZ or AZ license with clean Driver's Abstract and CVOR
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience, or completion of an accredited truck driving school
- Ability to safely operate heavy collection vehicles and hydraulic packer systems
- Must meet company safety-sensitive standards
- Reliable attendance and flexibility for early morning starts and overtime
Responsibilities
- Operate the truck safely along assigned residential routes
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete trip logs
- Operate hydraulic and compaction systems carefully to avoid damage
- Report mechanical issues or safety incidents to management
- Maintain productivity, service quality, and vehicle cleanliness
- Follow traffic laws, bylaws, and PPE requirements
- Work with Helpers and Terminal Supervisors for smooth operations
