About this job
Our company is hiring a DZ Residential Driver/Loader in Scarborough, ON to operate a rear pack truck on residential waste and recycling routes.
What you'll do
- Drive a rear pack truck along assigned residential routes
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs
- Collect residential waste and recycling on schedule
- Operate hydraulic and compaction systems safely
- Report mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Keep the vehicle clean and maintain service quality
- Follow traffic laws, bylaws, and PPE requirements
- Work with helpers and supervisors to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements
- Valid DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract and CVOR
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience, or completion of a truck driving school program
- Ability to operate heavy collection vehicles and hydraulic packer systems
- Must meet safety standards for safety-sensitive roles
- Reliable attendance and flexibility for early starts and overtime
