DZ Residential Waste Collection Driver

GFL is looking for a Residential Driver in Blind River, ON to run curbside waste and recycling routes. You'll handle a heavy collection truck, keep up with daily safety checks, and help deliver reliable service to the community.

What you'll do

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections every day, along with trip logs and paperwork

• Drive residential pickup routes for garbage and recycling, following schedules and safety rules

• Run the hydraulic and compaction systems correctly to avoid damaging equipment

• Flag any mechanical issues, road hazards, or safety concerns to your supervisor right away

• Keep your route efficient, your truck clean, and your customer service solid

• Follow traffic laws, local bylaws, company policies, and PPE requirements

• Coordinate with Helpers and Terminal Supervisors to keep operations running smoothly

• Take on other tasks as directed by leadership

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License, DZ or higher in Ontario, with a clean Driver's Abstract and CVOR

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience, or graduation from an accredited truck driving school

• Proven ability to safely handle heavy collection trucks and hydraulic packer systems

• Must meet all company safety standards for safety-sensitive roles

• Good attendance history and willingness to work early mornings and overtime as needed
