DZ Recycling Driver — $29.08/hr + Overtime

Our company needs DZ Recycling Drivers in London, ON to run residential collection routes on an automatic 2-person split rear recycling truck. This is full-time, permanent work, open to newly licensed drivers as well as experienced ones.

What you'll do

• Drive an automatic split rear recycling truck with a second crew member

• Collect residential recycling (blue and grey bins) or garbage

• Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections and flag any defects or safety issues

• Both driving and loading are part of the job

• Lift materials repeatedly, in the 25-50 lbs range

• Work outside in all seasons and weather

• Deal with residents professionally while on route

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, starting at 6:30 AM

• Shift ends once the route is finished, generally 10-12 hours

• Expected hours range from 40 to 55 per week

Pay

• $29.08 per hour

• Overtime after 44 hours

• 4% vacation pay

• Incentive program

• Paid weekly by direct deposit

Requirements

• Valid DZ or AZ license (new drivers welcome)

• Clean CVOR and driver's abstract

• Good work ethic and attitude

• Physically able to handle repeated lifting

• Background in physical labor (construction, landscaping, waste collection, warehouse, etc.) is a plus

• Safety boots required

• Comfortable working 10-12 hour shifts when needed
