DZ Propane Delivery Driver — $28/hr, Home Every Night

Our company in Echo Bay, ON needs a DZ driver to deliver propane and support service work as needed. You'll report to the District Manager and work closely with the Delivery or Service Coordinator day to day.

Pay

• $28 hourly, set based on your skills, experience, qualifications and location

• Possible performance-based incentives on top of base pay

Home time

• Field staff get flexible arrangements so you're home every night

What you'll do

• Load, haul and transfer propane between containers at customer sites, and verify assets as part of the process

• Keep the Delivery Coordinator updated on route changes, customer needs or call volume shifts

• Run pre- and post-trip vehicle checks, site inspections and visual tank checks, following all safety and regulatory standards

• Keep your truck and equipment in top shape and flag any mechanical problems to your manager

• Represent the company well by keeping your vehicle clean and delivering strong customer service

• Calculate load weights and confirm they're within lifting limits before loading or unloading tanks and gear

• Set and level tanks to meet code

• Under a certified Service Technician's supervision, help install, service and repair propane appliances and systems, logging your hours as you go

• Handle tank evacuations safely, including connecting hoses between stationary tanks and the bulk truck, securing tanks, and operating compressors and pumps

• Get tanks ready for service, including swapping valves and lids, and keep clear records of repairs made

Requirements

• High school diploma

• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience

• Valid DZ license with a clean driving record

• Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly on a regular basis

• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

• Good customer service skills

• Comfortable using computers, including onboard truck systems
